All the Building Societies and Banks require
newly built houses to have a structural warranty and guarentee. This is also
peace of mind for Selfbuilders knowing that the house will have been constructed
correctly. The 10 year warranty, in the past, has been either NHBC ( buildmark
or solo ), Zurich Municipal ( custom build ) or architects certificates.
About the Build-Zone Range of 10 Year Building
The Build-Zone range of 10 Year Structural Warranty products is a development of
the Self-Build Zone Warranty which was first launched early in 2003.
The Build-Zone product range incorporates new housing developments, social
housing, conversions, and refurbishments, together with self-build and completed
In addition to covering Latent Defects, our new housing products also provide
the same Contaminated Land, Developer Financial Default and Physical Health &
Safety of Occupant cover found in other approved warranty products.
We have based the new product range on a bespoke client and audit administration
system that ensures we have the very latest site information to hand allowing us
to produce all the relevant documentation quickly and accurately, enabling
staged release of funds to be effected as smoothly as possible.
